The Sustainability Forum will collect and evaluate data to better understand the relationships between transportation systems, traveler behavior, and climate change; support research and the identification of existing and emerging technologies to address the relationship between transportation and climate change; and inform the public, policymakers and lawmakers about the capability of transportation technologies, operational strategies, funding mechanisms, and integrated traffic management systems to affect traveler behavior and/or reduce fuel consumption.
