Marijke Smith joined the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) in March 2008 as the Director of Membership Recruitment. In this capacity, Marijke is responsible for increasing the Society’s private and public sector membership and along with it, enhancing our membership revenue and greater visibility among key sectors in the intelligent transportation system industry.
Prior to joining ITS America, Marijke was the Public Affairs Manager and earlier served as a Public Policy Associate at Volkswagen of America, Inc. She also worked in the commercial real estate and non-profit sectors.
Marijke holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Communication from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and German from West Virginia University.
