  • ITS America's Cross-cutting Issues Forum - The Cross-Cutting Forum initiates, executes and tracks member driven projects associated with the broad scope of ITS, in each of the following member interest areas: Systems Engineering (including Architecture, Standards and Planning); Training and Education; Research; Benefits, Evaluation and Costs; Electronic Payment; and Surface Transportation Weather.
  • ITS Lessons Learned Knowledge Resource.  The ITS Lessons Learned Knowledge Resource Web site contains numerous lessons learned articles. These lessons are based on experiences of ITS stakeholders from various ITS projects and programs in the country. This Web page presents a synthesis of lessons learned knowledge about key ITS areas of interest, including the following lesson categories:

A major focus of this synthesis work has been to gather evidence of real-world experiences of ITS lessons learned, from which other stakeholders could benefit.

  • National Transportation Statistics. U.S. Department of Transportation presents statistics on the U.S. transportation system, including its physical components, safety record, economic performance, the human and natural environment, and national security. This is a large online document comprising more than 260 data tables plus data source and accuracy statements, glossary and a list of acronyms and initialisms.
  • Transportation Research Thesaurus.  A hierarchical, faceted collection of concepts that logically arranges in accordance with their relationships to one another. This taxonomical approach puts like intellectual content together. By selecting the most appropriate concept in the intellectual order the work is identified with related works. The TRT is used by indexers, content managers and librarians in the transportation community and is an internationally recognized standard.
  • ITS Professional Capacity Building (PCB) Program, U.S. Department of Transportation - The ITS PCB Program provides comprehensive, accessible, and flexible ITS learning for the transportation industry. By using the program’s, public agencies can build and sustain a capable and technically proficient ITS workforce and transportation professionals can develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities while furthering their career paths.
