As Director of Intermodal Passenger Transport Systems, David Ridgley supports ITS America’s transit and traffic technical areas such as planning and development, operations and management, maintenance, traveler information, and program assessment for rural and regional ITS systems. He supports many of the society’s Forums and Councils as well as some of its tasks with the U.S. Department of Transportation.
 
David has an extensive knowledge of the transit industry. He served for three years on the Maryland Transit Administration’s Citizen’s Advisory Board and was an active member of the Baltimore Transit Rider’s League for five years.
 
Prior to joining ITS America, David worked for the Department of Community Transportation Services at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority dealing with paratransit and specialized transportation service development and coordination.
 
David graduated in 2004 from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Urban Planning/Development. In 2008, he completed his Master’s of Arts in Transportation Policy Operations and Logistics from George Mason University’s School of Public Policy.
