Viability of Data Exchange Standards in Public Transport for the UK
In the UK, buses carry more passengers annually than any other public transport (PT) mode (5 billion compared to rail’s 2 billion27). And they share the road with a growing number (over 30M) of vehicles for private transport and freight. There are congestion problems in almost every major town and city and this impacts directly on the ability of bus operators to adhere to bus schedules which reduces the overall service levels for the passengers. Part of the solution to the problem of congestion is satellite tracking of the buses to provide Real-Time Information (RTI) to passengers thereby allowing them to make informed and intelligent decisions about their travel.

Croatian Motorways As A Solution To Traffic Issues In Big Cities
Motorways participate insufficiently in solving of the traffic problems in the Croatian big cities, so that it is necessary to undertake measures which would revitalize motorways and enable their
integration into the traffic systems of the Croatian cities, with the use of the already tested world and European models. The problem points to the fact that Croatia has the highest number of motorways in relation to $ billion of GDP, that there is the lowest number of junctions at Croatian motorways, and that the distance between them is the longest. The traffic load on the Croatian motorways expressed in the number of vehicle-kilometres per motorway kilometre is amongst the lowest in the World, and there is the highest distance between Croatian motorways and the centres of the big cities they connect.

Study On Data Integration For Multi-Modal Route Navigation System Based On Web Service
As its name implies, the multi-model navigation system not only provide user the traditional car navigation but also the foot navigation, and the information of transfer among car navigation and public transport navigation and foot navigation, so multiple and real-time information from various sources in the system are needed, for example, real-time public transport information and real-time traffic flow and the accident information, real-time weather and parking lots information etc. With the development of Web service, it give multi-modal navigation system a good solution, we can get the multiple static and dynamic information from different web services such as public transport web service and real-time parking lots web service etc.

15Th World Congress On ITS Benefits Of Traffic Signal Reviews Using Computer Aids
Traffic signal reviews have been undertaken in recent years and significant improvements have been achieved using computer aids to optimise traffic signal operation. Using computer aids, coordination can be modeled and traffic signal data can be collected and reviewed as part of the process of optimisation.

Co-Driver Alert Project
The Co-Driver Alert project has successfully developed and demonstrated end-to-end
operability of an after market fit in-vehicle hazard alert system suitable for future deployment
in the UK. The concept of the Co-Driver Alert system is to provide increased driver
awareness to both static and dynamic hazards. This paper presents the project objectives, the
technical challenges faced during the development phase, and provides a description of the
systems architecture.
