Adrian Guan joined ITS America in December 2010 as Transportation Program Specialist. In his role, Adrian has been working on a variety of projects, such as Technology Scan and Assessment and ITS Market Data Analysis. He is also the ITS America's Safety Forum coordinator.

In an industry as multifaceted and dynamic as Intelligent Transportation Systems, Adrian had managed to navigate himself over seven years prior to joining ITS America, including his research and engineering efforts at the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Berkeley, California PATH and Electrical & Controls Integration Laboratory at General Motors. He holds master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Statistics from UC Berkeley, where he has also obtained certificates in Intelligent Transportation Systems and Management of Technology. He graduated with honors from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, with a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Finance. He specializes in vehicular communication systems, and has hands-on experience in machine vision and Geographic Information Systems. He has published several research papers and technical reports.

In his free time, you can find Adrian roaming Smithsonian museums and national parks. He challenges his friends to call him by his Chinese first name "Xu."
