ITS America Hires Transportation Innovator Leo McCloskey
to Serve as Senior VP for Technical Programs
Washington, D.C. (September 19, 2013) – The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) today announced that transportation innovator Leo McCloskey has joined the association as Senior Vice President for Technical Programs, where he will manage all of ITS America’s contract work, including its work with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and other public sector, private industry and research partners.
McCloskey joins ITS America from Airbiquity, Inc., an industry leader in telematics technologies and the connected vehicle services market for major automakers like Ford Motor Company, Nissan and General Motors. As Airbiquity’ s Vice President of Marketing, McCloskey directed the organizations work in areas of driver distraction and ecosystem development.

As Senior Vice President for Technical Programs, McCloskey will lead ITS America’s Technical Programs group and direct the organization’s research, standards, and other technology-driven initiatives.
Previously, McCloskey has held senior leadership positions at IntelliTax, Nexagent, Ebone and Terabeam and EDS, Inc. where he defined a novel method for connecting customers to a distributed global service delivery infrastructure.
