ITS America Hires U.S. DOT Pro Sabrina Sussman to Launch Leadership Circle; Serve as VP for Membership and Development
Washington, D.C. (April 3, 2013) – The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) today announced the hire of Sabrina Sussman as the association’s Vice President for Membership and Development.
Sussman will join ITS America from the U.S. Department of Transportation, where she recently served as the Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Policy, Polly Trottenberg. In this role, she worked to support the Office of Policy’s various initiatives, including MAP-21 implementation, livability, high-speed rail, the TIGER program and freight policy development. In addition, Ms. Sussman directed the office’s efforts on communications, external relations and management.

We know she will ensure that the partnership between U.S. DOT and ITS America grows even stronger.”
As ITS America’s Vice President for Membership and Development, Sussman will lead the strategic planning efforts and enactment of the ITS America Leadership Circle, as well as manage member recruitment, retention and services.

Previously, Sussman served at U.S. DOT as the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy. There she was responsible for the coordination and execution of Secretary Ray LaHood's National Transportation Reauthorization Outreach Tour. She began her time at U.S. DOT as the Departmental Coordinator for Congressional Reports.
Sussman holds a Master’s degree in Political Management from George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from American University.
