Exhibit Hall Selling Out for 15th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems
WASHINGTON, DC, March 31, 2008 - With less than eight months
left before the 15th World Congress on Intelligent Transport
Systems kicks off, the 250,000 square foot exhibit hall at the
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is nearly sold out, it was
announced today by ITS America President and CEO, Scott
Belcher. There are only five 10'x10' spaces and five 10'x20' spaces
left in the entire exhibit hall.
"We have seen an extremely high level of participation by our
members, with many of them asking for larger booth space this
year," said Belcher. "We have also seen an increase in the total
number of exhibiting companies. In fact, 37 more businesses are
exhibiting compared to the number of exhibitors at the 2005 World
Congress in San Francisco."
The exhibit hall will also feature nine international
pavilions, the first ITS America State Chapter pavilion, and a
local agency pavilion that includes the Metropolitan Transportation
Authority, New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey
Transportation Planning Authority, New York City Department of
Transportation, New York State Department of Transportation, Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey, and TRANSCOM.
The exhibit space for the World Congress was expanded a record
five times and can not be further increased. With just a handful of
spaces left, it is clear that the exhibit hall will soon be
full. If you have been thinking of exhibiting at the World Congress
