ITS America Board of Directors Election Notice
WASHINGTON, DC, April 17, 2008 - Has your organization voted
in the ITS America Board of Directors election for 2008-2009? If
not, your organization has until Wednesday, April 30 to cast its
ballot.
ITS America member organizations are eligible to vote for
candidates to serve on the ITS America Board of Directors. Each
member organization is permitted to submit one ballot (only members
in good standing may vote). Ballots can only be completed
by the person listed as the "primary contact" on the membership
roster of the Society or by the person otherwise designated by the
organization to cast its ballot. Primary contacts may vote
online, by mail or by fax, however, we encourage you to vote online
for your convenience and to assist us in counting ballots.
We have three well-qualified candidates who have been
nominated to serve on the ITS America Board of Directors:

Randell Iwasaki, Chief Deputy Director of Caltrans, has served on our Board for three years and is presented for re-election. He is a major contributor to the Strategic Planning process of ITS America and is currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.

Patrick McGowan, Vice President of Telvent Farradyne Inc., has served as Chair of the ITS America Coordinating Council for four years and is currently chairing the VII Demonstration Committee for the 15th World Congress.

Dr. Peter Sweatman, Director of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, has been actively involved with the ITS America State Chapters Council and is currently serving as President of the Michigan State Chapter.
