Transportation Safety Advancement Group Fall Meeting Announced for October 16
WASHINGTON, DC, September 25, 2008 - ITS America's
Transportation Safety Advancement Group (TSAG), formerly known as
the Public Safety Advisory Group (PSAG), has scheduled its Fall
Meeting for October 16, in Denver, Colorado. A meeting agenda will
be posted upon finalization. TSAG is organized under ITSA's
Homeland Security and Public (HSPS) Forum and is dedicated to
promoting advanced technologies for public safety, specifically
addressing day-to-day transportation operations, and emergency
response to incidents and unplanned events as these concern
transportation managers and first-responders.
TSAG members represent key transportation, public safety, and
technology communities, including law enforcement, transportation
operations, communications, fire and safety, emergency medical
services, academics and research, technology and telematics, and
emergency management. Through its multi-year strategic plan and
annual work plans, TSAG promotes an understanding of ITS and
advanced-technology applications for improving operations, safety,
and inter-discipline / inter-agency interface.
