WASHINGTON, DC, January 21, 2009 - The Intelligent Transportation Society of America is proud to announce the call for entries for the 2009 Outstanding State Chapter Award. The Outstanding State Chapter Award has been the highest award given by ITS America to an ITS America State Chapter for the development of superb programming and fostering the highest qualities of leadership within the membership.

In addition to the Outstanding State Chapter award, ITS America will select three additional awardees in categories that demonstrate their effectiveness and impact in furthering ITS networking, outreach, and advocacy; organizational and professional development; and successful ITS deployments or practices.

The State Chapter awards, presented by ITS America, will be distributed on Monday, June 1, 2009 at ITS America's 2009 Annual Meeting and Exposition at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, MD. Winners will be featured in a special video presentation and recognized in front of hundreds of ITS industry professionals.
