ITS America to Hold Election for 2009 Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, DC, March 26, 2009 - The Intelligent
Transportation Society of America (ITS America) will hold an annual
election for its board of directors, a distinguished group of
industry leaders who have the responsibility of establishing the
strategic direction of the organization.
Six well-qualified candidates have been nominated among ITS
America's members to serve on the board
Presented for re-election are:

John Inglish, general manager and CEO, Utah Transit Authority, has served on the board for three years. He is a major contributor to the strategic planning process of ITS America.

Jill Ingrassia, managing director, American Automobile Association. She brings a wealth of experience in public relations.

Dick Landis, president and CEO, Help, Inc., has served on the board for six years. He has been actively involved with the ITS America Coordinating Council and is currently serving as secretary for the ITS America Board of Directors.

Bill Russell, president and CEO, Eberle Design, Inc., has served on the board for six years. He is currently chairing the audit committee and the member value committee.
Presented for election are:

Keith Puls, regional vice president, Verizon Business. He has extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications industries.

Janette Sadik-Kahn, commissioner, New York City Department of Transportation. She has been a pioneer in the deployment of ITS in the streets of New York City.
The individual who serves as the primary contact of an ITS
America member organization is eligible will soon be receiving an
electronic ballot to cast a vote on behalf of their
organization.
The results of the election will be announced on June
4.
