ITS America Announces 2009 ITS Hall of Fame Inductees
WASHINGTON, June 15, 2009 - The Intelligent Transportation
Society of America (ITS America) announced the inductees into the
2009 class of ITS Hall of Fame recently during a special ceremony
of the ITS America Annual Meeting & Exposition held in National
Harbor, Maryland.
The recipients of this award were selected based on their
standard of leadership in the transportation technology arena. Each
has served an outstanding, lifelong career dedicated to
organizational leadership in the field and thought leadership
contributing to the vision of intelligent transportation systems.
All have been tireless advocates for fulfilling ITS' promise.
Michael Doyle, chairman of ITS America's ITS Hall of Fame,
presented the awards.
"It is such a pleasure to be able to recognize these icons in
the ITS world. Their unwavering dedication and passion to our
industry has been has been foundational to bringing about positive
change to our nation's transportation system."
