WASHINGTON, DC, July 14, 2009 - The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) is pleased to announce the formation of the Policy and Position Statement Steering Group under the auspices of its Policy and Business Council. The Steering Group has been established to support the development, approval, and promotion of important policies and positions that the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) community believes important if it is to achieve the vision of saving lives, time and money, and sustain the environment through broad deployment of interoperable ITS technologies.

In support of this important initiative, we would like your input and support. We anticipate that ITS America's newly reorganized Forums, its State Chapters, and the Task Forces and Committees of the Policy and Business Council will be key contributors to the development of these statements.
