WASHINGTON, DC, July 16, 2009 - YES, another survey, but this
one is very important to us. Please take a few minutes, click on

Transportation Society of America (ITS America) is committed to
providing value to its members. In the last year, it has:

Heightened its advocacy on behalf of the ITS community on matters like transportation authorization and climate change

Held two important ITS networking convenings-the 2008 World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems & ITS America Annual Meeting in New York City and the 2009 ITS America Annual Meeting in Washington, DC

Worked closely with the U.S. Department of Transportation to represent the interests of the ITS community and to provide thought leadership and support to U.S. DOT's Joint Program Office on matters of consequence to ITS America's members

Engaged significantly with its 24 state and regional chapters to promote local deployment of ITS

Enhanced its primary, volunteer-led policy/business and deployment councils to give voice to member needs and interests

Upgraded its Web site, knowledge center, and networking tools to elevate ITS America's role as ITS knowledge broker
There is much more to be done, but to get there, we need
you! ITS America members are our most important resource. Your
participation in ITS America activities, many of which are
accessible to you at no extra cost beyond your membership dues,
makes a big difference in the quality of dialogue, the value of the
product, and the effectiveness of the interaction with other ITS
stakeholders.
