New Report: Transportation Strategies to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Study Sponsored By Diverse Group of Stakeholders Offers First Comprehensive analysis of Transportation Efficiencies
WASHINGTON, DC, July 22, 2009 - A policy briefing on the
first-ever comprehensive analysis of transportation efficiency and
its relationship to greenhouse gas reductions and consumer savings
will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2009, 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. (EST)
at the Columbus Club at Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE,
Washington, D.C.
WHAT:
The report, "Moving Cooler: Transportation Strategies to
Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions," was commissioned by a diverse
group of stakeholders representing environmental action groups,
transportation experts, industry, federal agencies, trade
associations, and leading foundations. The study provides objective
information about the potential contribution of scalable
transportation strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A
light buffet will be provided.
