WASHINGTON, DC, August 17, 2009 -- ITS America's Forums are arenas for volunteer-driven committees to serve as the focal point for dialogue and networking on the challenges and opportunities surrounding research and deployment of ITS. Additionally, the Forums provide the technical focus for ITS America's work. When you participate in a Forum, you guarantee your organization a steady flow of information and knowledge from ITS America. One of ITS America's newest Forums, Commercial Operations, will work with the public and private sectors to promote the development and deployment of commercial vehicle and intermodal freight technologies and systems that save lives, time, and money; enhance quality of life; and strengthen homeland security in North America.

The Commercial Operations Forum will give special attention to ongoing collaboration with key state, regional, international, and industry partners and associations and to providing policy guidance and addressing critical questions related to emerging technologies and information systems.
