ITS America Seeks Member Input through Newly Formed "Policy and Position Statement Steering Group"

WASHINGTON, DC, Sept. 15, 2009 - ITS America is pleased to announce the formation of the Policy and Position Statement Steering Group under the auspices of its Policy and Business Council. The Steering Group has been established to support the development, approval, and promotion of important policies and positions that the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) community believes important if it is to achieve the vision of saving lives, time and money, and sustain the environment through broad deployment of interoperable ITS technologies. And there is no more important time than now, what with the impending authorization of the transportation bill, to ensure that ITS is integral to our 21st century transportation system.
In support of this important initiative, we would like your input and support. We anticipate that ITS America's newly reorganized Forums, its State Chapters, and the Task Forces and Committees of the Policy and Business Council will be key contributors to the development of these statements. But whether our member involvement comes through these groups or directly from you, your input is important. So please take a moment to respond to the following quick survey to let us know what you think.
