Technology Demonstration Participants Sought for 18th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems
WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 - The Intelligent Transportation Society
of America, ERTICO-ITS Europe, and ITS Japan will host more than
10,000 of the world's leading transportation policy makers,
technology, and business professionals in Orlando, Florida from
October 16-20, 2011 for the 18th World Congress on
Intelligent Transport Systems. The conference organizers are
planning to feature a live outdoor demonstration of ITS
technologies. In order to facilitate planning efforts, the
Technology Demonstration Committee invites interested organizations
to submit a pre-application to participate in the World Congress
technology demonstrations.
The goals of the World Congress on ITS technology
demonstrations are to:
-
Demonstrate technology solutions addressing today's major transportation challenges.
-
Provide a clear, organized message to the participants about how Government and Industry are addressing these transportation challenges.
-
Provide an opportunity for industry to clearly showcase their product or service within the context of the demonstration message.
-
Generate significant media and political excitement.
-
Retain the demonstration experience through multiple media and possibly as a permanent pavilion or other test/demonstration sites.
The purpose for this pre-application is to ascertain whether
an organization is interested in participating in the technology
demonstrations and to collect a general description of what an
organization may be considering for demonstration.
Submission of this application will serve as an organization's
intent to participate. A formal application process will occur at a
later date, which will be an expanded version of this form. At this
time, information submitted will be considered the demonstrator's
best guess at their possible demonstration. Submission of the
pre-application will allow an organization earlier access to the
planning process to include teleconferences, face-to-face meetings,
and information dissemination.

October 30, 2009 to ITS America's Patty del Pozo at
