Intelligent Transportation Society of America Organizes Session on Vehicle Communications at International Consumer Electronics Show
WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 - The Intelligent Transportation Society
of America (ITS America) has organized a session on vehicle
communications at the International Consumer Electronics Show
(CES), January 7, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV.
The next generation of wireless data services communications
and the introduction of dedicated short-range communications (DSRC)
will introduce new opportunities for Vehicle-to-Vehicle, and
Vehicle-to-Infrastructure applications. "New Opportunities for
Communications to the Vehicle" will explore how these vehicle-based
technologies, as well as portable devices provide for enhanced
360° driver situational awareness, but require careful
development, to avoid potential driver distraction.
