Intelligent Transportation Society of America Announces Departure of Director of Communications
WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 - The Intelligent Transportation Society
of America today announced the departure of its Director of
Communications, Sabrina McGowan, who is leaving the association to
join McKenna Long & Aldridge, LLP where she will manage firm
wide public relations. McGowan will begin Feb. 1.
"Sabrina did an excellent job marketing and communicating the
priorities of ITS America to our members, industry stakeholders,
and press," said ITS America President and CEO Scott F.
Belcher. "Her years of dedicated service have truly benefited ITS
America, and I know she will have great success in this new phase
of her career."
"I want to thank Scott and the board of directors for the
opportunities given to me over the past five years," said
McGowan. "It has been an honor to help communicate the important
work and accomplishments of ITS America and its members."
Before joining ITS America, McGowan led marketing and public
relations efforts for a law firm and held similar positions with a
public agency and not-for-profit organization. During her tenure,
she managed the development and redesign of the ITS America Web
site, launch of an e-newsletter, and increased media coverage of
the association's annual meeting and international World Congress
on Intelligent Transport Systems.
McGowan will leave ITS America at the end of January.
