ITS America Welcomes Eight New Members in April and May


WASHINGTON, D.C. - Eight new companies and organizations from around the country have joined the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, the nation's leading voice for the use of smart technology to address transportation challenges. Our new members include: Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition; Winncom Technologies; Hogan Lovells, LLC; Nebraska Transportation Center; Orange County, California; Sport and Traffic Technologies; GJB Consulting, LLC; and the District of Columbia Department of Transportation.

The Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition (NITTEC) provides real time traffic and roadway information to improve traffic flows, enhance emergency assistance for motorists, reduce secondary incidents and improve response time by police and emergency vehicles. NITTEC also provides real time driving conditions to help motorists make informed decisions so they reach their destinations safely and efficiently.

Winncom Technologies® is a distributor of broadband wireless equipment and a complete telecommunication solutions provider. Since 1993, Winncom has been at the forefront of the global technology marketplace. As 4G becomes a reality with an increasing demand for a wide range of data, speed, and bandwidths, Winncom Technologies continues to provide highly efficient solutions including IP video surveillance equipment and solutions, as well as "green" solar power technologies.

Hogan Lovells, LLC law firm boasts many years of experience counseling and representing clients in the automotive and motor vehicle sectors. The firm has worked with companies ranging from vehicle manufacturers and franchisors to tire and engine makers and component suppliers, regularly guiding manufacturers and distributors through legal issues with extensive experience litigating disputes before state dealer boards, as well as in state and federal courts.

Part of the University of Nebraska, the Nebraska Transportation Center (NTC) has more than $10 million dollars in transportation research now underway throughout its numerous research groups. The groups are divided based on area of specialty and the NTC conducts research in all facets of transportation as part of the development and maintenance of a rapid, safe, and efficient transportation system.

Orange County, California's mission is to provide, operate and maintain quality public facilities, ensure safe community development and construction and improve the environmental quality for county residents. Part of that mission involves operating the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), a multi-modal transportation agency that keeps its citizens moving with countywide bus and paratransit service, Metrolink rail service, the 91 Express Lanes toll facility, freeway, street and road improvement projects, motorist aid services and by regulating taxi operations.

Sport and Traffic Technologies (Pty) Ltd (SATT) is a technology based company that specializes in the Intelligent Transportation Sector of the traffic market. From systems design through manufacturing, integration and installation, SATT offers Intelligent Transportation Solutions through its extensive research and development and manufacturing resources, ensuring their products meet clients' exact requirements.

GJB Consulting, LLC is based in Florida with offices in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. The firm provides public policy, procurement and government relations guidance for corporations, institutions, associations and individuals. GJB has extensive experience in developing public policy, as well as in identifying efficiencies through the use of technology and innovation. The firm's focus is procurement, including but not limited to bids & RFP's, transportation, aviation, travel retailing, and communications including crisis management and media, and investigative and enforcement matters.
