The deadline to submit papers for the 18th
World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems
has been extended to Friday, February 11, 2011 and ITS
experts can submit draft technical and scientific papers to be
considered for presentation at the event. Authors chosen will have
an excellent opportunity to demonstrate personal expertise and
high-level achievement within the field of ITS in a global
setting.
Paper presentations are an excellent opportunity to
demonstrate your expertise, showcase research results, and advance
ideas focused on ITS topics such as high-tech transit solutions,
real-time traveler information, performance measurement, intermodal
systems integration, advanced traffic management systems,
commercial vehicle operations, electronic toll/fare collection,
telematics, new consumer applications, and other ITS-related
fields. We are also interested in ideas, research, and data
relating to the role of ITS in "Keeping the Economy
Moving."
Technical Papers
Technical papers may address technical subjects, as well
as the institutional, business and economic aspects of ITS. All
proposals must be original and report on recent significant and
substantive achievements. Technical paper proposals should be no
more than three (3) pages long, include an abstract or descriptive
summary, and comply with the formatting rules (available
here
) for accepted papers.
Scientific Papers
Scientific Papers are scholarly papers focused on
research of advanced ITS topics and focused on answering the
question of "how does ITS work?" Scientific paper proposals should
be no more than twelve (12) pages long and comply with the
formatting rules (available here
) for accepted papers.
Publication Opportunity
After the conclusion of the 18th World Congress, select authors of scientific papers will also have the opportunity for their work to be published in notable ITS journals. The Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, IET Intelligent Transport Systems and the International Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems Research will publish special World Congress issues focusing on different areas of ITS. Authors of eligible papers will receive a formal invitation to submit an updated and enhanced paper for consideration in one of the special issues.
Papers must be submitted online
no later than January 28, 2011. If your paper is accepted,
you will be informed by late-April 2011, and the final version of
the paper will be due by August 5, 2011. If you have questions
