ITS America Builds Technology and Standards Expertise with New Staff Additions
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) has added two new staff members to focus on operations, technology and standards relations programs.
Joerg 'Nu' Rosenbohm has been named as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of ITS America. Nu brings 19 years of professional experience focused exclusively on ITS systems and ITS Standards development and will support the association by providing direction on ITS technologies, as well as manage the operations department. Prior to joining ITS America, Nu spent a year working as VP for Business Development and consulting engineer for Intelligent Devices Inc. and worked for 16 years for Telvent (formerly PB Farradyne) as ITS engineer, ITS Standards expert, Senior Project Manager for ATMS software projects, and TMC/TOC design engineer. Nu holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Civil Engineering with a major in Traffic Engineering from the Fachhochschule Oldenburg, Germany.
Tyler Messa joins ITS America as Director of Standards Initiatives of the association. Having served as a technical officer for all transport-related programs at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and as the Secretary and US TAG Administrator for ISO/TC204, Tyler will be responsible for all standards related programs and initiatives at ITS America. In addition to standards, Tyler will also oversee the Coordinating Council and other ITS America forums. Previously, Tyler worked as the Technical Programme Manager at the ISO Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland where he oversaw the management of all transport related ISO technical committees. Prior to joining ISO, Tyler served as the Director of International Standards at the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) in Washington, DC, where, among his many duties he served as both International Secretary and US TAG Administrator for ISO/TC204 - Intelligent Transport Systems. Tyler holds a M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado.
