ITS Congress

The 5th Russian International Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems will be held on 12-14 March 2013 at Moscow’s exhibition centre Expocentr. The Congress is organised by the International Transport Academy with the support from the Ministry of Transport, the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government.

Last year the Congress was attended by more than 300 delegates, representing more than 20 countries, with a large number of ITS specialists from all over the world. It has become a Forum for professionals and companies within this sector, to discuss the main ITS achievements in effective decision-making and the consolidation of government agencies among academics and policy makers. Among the participants of the 4th Congress were well known Russian and foreign authorities, for example, Nikolay Asaul, Russian Deputy Minister of Transport;  Rimvydas Vastakas, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Lithuanian Republic; Seppo Eerni, an Advisor to Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications; Josef J. Czako, Vice-President of Kapsch TrafficCom, Austria; Sergey Bachevskyi, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications; Sergey Pisarev, Director of ZAO TRANSAS Express; Alexander Grishin, Director of the Golden Crown Project, as well as VTT and  VAISALA Finland.

The Congress programme consists of a plenary session, a series of thematic sessions, presentations and technical tours.
