Massachusetts Highway Department Announces RFP for Mass511 Traveler Information System

BOSTON, Oct. 2 - The Executive Office of Transportation, the Massachusetts Highway Department (MassHighway), and their successor on November 1, MassDOT (herein referred to collectively as MassDOT), are seeking a qualified Contractor that possesses the demonstrated capabilities and experience required to implement, operate, manage and maintain a Massachusetts 511 Traveler Information Service (the Service or Mass511). Applicants shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of MassDOT that they fully meet the specified requirements and all other Request for Response (RFR) prerequisites set forth in this document. Specifically, the Respondent shall have expertise in the collection, fusion and dissemination of real-time traveler information to the public and all the necessary management, communications, and computer-system skills to operate and maintain such a service.
