NEW YORK, Nov. 13 - The Intelligent Transportation Society of New York (ITS-NY) has recently joined Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to help connect their members and other transportation industry professionals through online communications. ITS-NY is a non-lobbying, non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose purposes are, in part, to provide a forum for the continuing professional development of individuals and organizations with an interest in intelligent transportation, and to provide for the exchange of ITS information. To help it carry out these aspects of its mission, ITS-NY uses social media/networking services to present information that has the potential to be of interest to members of the ITS community.
