Utah Transit Authority Announces RFP for Advanced Continuous Mobile Fleet Communications
SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Nov. 25 - The Utah Transit Authority
(Authority or UTA) is requesting proposals from responsive,
responsible, qualified individuals or firms to provide support for
Advanced Continuous Mobile Fleet Communications (RFP UT-09-17WJ).
Under contractual payment terms that are otherwise proposed and
deemed acceptable to the Authority. Proposals must follow the
format and instructions available from the Authority.
This Request for Proposals and any addenda or clarifications
thereto are being and will be issued by email. Any correspondence,
questions, requests for RFP packages, or for further information

Complete instructions to proposers are included in the
proposal documents. No other oral, telephone, telegraphic, or
facsimile responses or modifications will be considered. The
contract, when awarded, will be to the proposer whose proposal best
meets the objectives and requirements of the Authority.
Sealed ("hard copy") Proposals marked "Advanced Continuous
Mobile Fleet Communications" should be submitted with one (1)
original and ten (10) copies, plus an electronic version in MS
Word, Excel and "PDF" format on CD-ROM, and be received by Wes
Jones, Grants & Contracts Administrator, Utah Transit
Authority, 3600 South 700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84119, any
time prior to the hour of 2:00 PM M.D.T. on December 18, 2009. Any
proposal received thereafter will be considered non-responsive. It
is the responsibility of the proposer to see that the proposal is
received by the designated person at the time and place
specified. The proposals received shall be opened and evaluated by
a selection committee in private. By requesting or receiving
proposals, the Authority shall not be under any obligation to award
any contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a
proposal, or to procure or contract for services or supplies. The
Authority reserves the right to waive any irregularities, or
informalities, to reject any or all proposals submitted, to
re-advertise, to make the selection on the basis of the original
proposals with or without further negotiation, or to request
further information from selected proposers, or to conduct oral
interviews with selected proposers, and to make awards in the best
interest of the Authority.
