RFP Announced for Border Wait Time Measurement Technology Test, Evaluation and Deployment Project
VIENNA, VA, Jan. 25 - The Border Wait Time Working Group (BWT
WG) is a group consisting of U.S. and Canadian Federal agencies
that share the common goal of facilitating the legitimate flow of
travelers and trade across Canada/U.S. land border crossings. On
behalf of the BWT WG, Science Applications International
Corporation (SAIC) hereby issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) for
technology providers to participate in a test of automated border
wait time measurement systems. The purpose is to award and issue
subcontracts to up to eight (8) technology providers to install,
operate, and test their solutions at one of two US/Canada border
crossings. The solicitation and all attachments, as well as

SAIC invites all interested vendors and solution providers to
reply electronically to the RFP NLT Monday, March 1, 2010 at 9 AM
Eastern. A pre-bid conference is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday,
February 9, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 12 PM Eastern at the Peace Bridge
administrative offices on the Ft. Erie side of the bridge.
Participation in the pre-bid conference is not mandatory; however,
it is highly recommended that interested vendors take part, since
important information will be provided during the conference and
vendors will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain
additional information about the project. Detailed information
about the pre-bid conference will be made available at the web
address provided above.
Pre-registration is required to attend the pre-bid conference,
and must be completed NLT Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 5 PM
Eastern. To register, please email your name, company name, phone
