NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY:
New Fare Payment System Concept of Operations based on Open Payment Standards for Acceptance; and,
Invitation to Attend Presentation and Invitation to Comment

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority ("MTA") has developed a Concept of Operations ("ConOps") for a contactless fare payment system based on open standards for the MTA's subway and bus systems. The ConOps will directly lead to the design, procurement and implementation of a new fare payment system. MTA is making the ConOps available to the fare collection, technology, telecommunications, system integration and payments industries to stimulate discussion and obtain input to finalize a ConOps that describes a system that is state-of-the-art, cost-effective and technically and commercially feasible.

MTA is having an industry-outreach presentation to the vendor community on May 10, 2011, 10am - 12pm. Attendance is limited to persons employed by and/or representing firms that participate in the fare collection, technology, telecommunications, system integration or payments industries. Seating will be limited and no more than two persons per firm will be permitted to attend. Advance reservations are required.

Please visit www.nfpsindustryoutreach.com to obtain a download of the ConOps or request a reservation for the May 10 presentation.
