2013 Annual Meeting and Exposition

About the 2013 Annual Meeting

It is our privilege to invite you to join the nation’s leading transportation officials, technology providers, policymakers and researchers at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America’s (ITS America) 23rd Annual Meeting and Exposition from April 22 - 24, 2013 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. ITS America is proud to partner with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and ITS Tennessee to host this important event.

This year’s Annual Meeting theme “ITS: Real Progress, Great Future” will showcase how far we’ve come as a nation in the deployment of ITS technologies, while also illustrating just how much further we can go to create a safer, more efficient and sustainable transportation system. The ITS community has made great strides in development and deployment of new products and services over the last 20 years and the momentum is continuing to build. The recent transportation reauthorization bill, MAP-21, demonstrates the U.S. commitment to invest in ITS solutions to help maintain, manage and modernize our transportation infrastructure. These are exciting times for the ITS industry and the future is even brighter.

The Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity for public sector ITS practitioners to network with other transportation leaders and learn about the latest technology solutions which are available to help address state and local transportation challenges; and for private sector leaders to showcase their latest ITS products and services to state and local decision makers.  This year’s meeting will feature a new innovative program that includes a State DOT CEO Roundtable, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) training courses, town hall meetings on relevant topics including transportation financing, and DOT spotlight sessions.

You will also have the opportunity to hear from public and private sector innovation leaders about the latest technology solutions in areas such as adaptive signal systems, performance measurement, smart parking and transit systems, connected vehicles and much more. This is a valuable learning experience for any transportation professional and an exciting opportunity to join other industry leaders in the premier ITS event of the year.

We look forward to seeing you in April.
