Charlie Tennyson joined ITS America in February 2010 as its Public Affairs and New Media Specialist.  After becoming more involved in the activities of ITS America's technical Forums and state chapters, he transitioned to the role of Member Services in June 2010 to better serve the needs of ITS America's diverse membership.

Before coming to ITS America, Charlie was a contractor for the Office of Governmental, International and Public Affairs at the U.S. DOT's Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA), where he assisted senior public affairs and government affairs staff with major multimodal and ITS projects. He played a key role as part of a team selected to coordinate U.S. DOT Secretary Ray LaHood's Distracted Driving Summit in September 2009, and also received special recognition for his efforts in producing RITA's cross-country Hydrogen Road Tour in August 2008.

Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University.
