RFP: Pre-Qualificaiton for the Multi-Facility Design, Implementation, and Maintenance of a Replacement Toll Collection and Audit System, with Capability for Future All-Electronic Tolling, at Port Authority Crossing.
The Port Authority of NY & NJ wishes to pre-qualify firms to design, implement and maintain a Replacement Toll Collection and Audit System, with the capability for future All-Electronic Tolling, on approximately 72 lanes at the six Port Authority Crossings. The new toll collection system will equip all of the lanes so that they can function with the same collection modes the Port Authority has today – cash and E-ZPass – but will also provide for the ability to move to All-Electronic Tolling by ensuring that during initial deployment, any additional components and software needed for All-Electronic Tolling will also be configured, installed, and operationally tested.

The Border Wait Time Working Group (BWT WG) is a group consisting of U.S. and Canadian Federal agencies that share the common goal of facilitating the legitimate flow of travelers and trade across Canada/U.S. land border crossings. On behalf of the BWT WG, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) hereby issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) for technology providers to participate in a test of automated border wait time measurement systems. The purpose is to award and issue subcontracts to up to eight (8) technology providers to install, operate, and test their solutions at one of two US/Canada border crossings.
